PROJECTS

Gardening for Sustainability

This project is designed to promote food security for women in the community by gardening. Gardening tools, seeds and equipment are gathered in order for women to produce their own food.

A garden is a source of sustainability for women and families in the community. They can have it for personal use and for selling and trading with other families in the community. This creates a small source of income for the women and their families. It is important especially for women as they cook and prepare family meals, and are the primary care givers. This project aims at giving priority to women, there is no restriction on how old a woman needs to be to take part in the program.

Education for the Future

Book Worms

Education is the foundation of life. The aim of this project is to  provide access to education to young people in high school.

What we do is provide stationary, uniforms, books and even food for those who cannot afford them. Most of the young men and women we help are part of a child-headed house hold. They are in charge of looking after their siblings, which leaves them no time or resources to go to school and get an education.

We aim to help these young people who are in need and provide them with all the support they need in order to stay in school, and not end up on the streets.

The aim of this project is to provide books to children in primary school straight through to high school. We want to help the children read, write and think.

By teaching students the English language and literacy, we can provide them with opportunities that they wouldn’t be able to have access to without this incredible tool.

We are looking for donations of second hand books to provide to students. By sending books that are in good condition we can send them directly to their homes where both the students and their siblings can benefit from them.

Making Connections

The aim of this project is to decrease the digital devide between the Americas and South Africa. We do this by teaching them how to use basic technological skills like how to use the internet and send emails. As well as teaching them how to network.

We want to help people to understand what the world has to offer them. Having access to technology will give them the opportunity to use it for educational purposes, aswell as recreational purposes, like social media. It gives them access to what the majority of students all over the world have acess to, which breaks down barriers.

We are looking for second hand technology donations.  For more information visit our:
